MEMORY TECHNIQUE

In 600 BC Greeks were first introduced ideas of memory technique .

​In 600BC Parmonides thought memory as a mixture of light and dark.

​In 400 BC Plato introduced "Wax Tablet hypothesis".
In that theory,The Wax And Mind are compared,where mind accepts impression in the same way of wax.
The impression wore away with time leaving smooth surface of wax,i.e. The memory disappears after time.

In late 400BC Aristotle felt memory was based on the blood's movement.
We forget when the movement of blood slows down.
He introduced the concept of Association of "Ideas and Image"(see figure) which is used in memory technique.

Now in Modern idea says the memory is located in cerebrum .
Theory is divided into:
1.Work on establishing a biochemical basis for memory.
2.Theories suggesting that memory can no longer be considered as a single process but must be broken down into divisions.
3.The clinical surgeon Wilder Penfield's work on brain stimulation.

IMAGINATION & ASSOCIATION

The power of reproducing images stored in the memory under the suggestion of associated images.

STEPS:
1.Choose the keyword you need to imagine.
eg: Here the keyword is "manipulate".
2.Divide the word into parts based on sound "man+pulate".
3.Change the parts into object form like this "man+plate",here "pulate" turned into plate because "plate" can be imagined else "pulate" cannot,both of them sounds similar.
4.The meaning of MANIPULATE is "handle with skill".now "skill" is turned into "skull" ,the phrase becomes "handle with skull".
​5.Now associate every keyword with their images like below.

6.Now link two images visually to remember the keyword and its meaning,i.e.story like the man with plate is trying to open the door with skull handle while doing so the plate slips from his hand falls down with the sound cling!!!.

7.visualize this story five times to remember the word manipulate and its meaning forever!!!
8.You can also remember a list of keyword using this method,List of groceries etc.
eg:apple,rice,banna,egg,cheese.here link apple with rice then rice with bannana then banna with egg so on, as we linked man+plate with handle with skull.
9.While linking follow these rules(see figure) to remember forever.
